Part of the reason that they have gotten where they are is through dirty practices that make them a lot of money. One such practice is lining up your purchases, largest to smallest and then deducting from your account. Say for instance over a weekend that you make purchases of $2, $4, $6 and $200. Now let’s say that you only have $200 in your account. Well they take all your purchase and line them up largest to smallest, not the order that you made them. So in < Please click links to the left.

We’ve been happy with them and their customer service for the most part but recently they have started some dirty practices. Some time before 1999 they started the “largest check first” scheme where they order all the charges for your account for a single day and process them by the largest to the smallest. That way if you go over on a big transaction they can subsequently charge you $35.00 overdraft fees for small $5.00 purchases.
